Pat O’Day 1948 – 2018

Pat O’Day had a vision. In 1977 that vision took form and became Terra Diamond Industrial. For over 40 years Pat and his wife Judy, with the team at Terra Diamond, have provided truly remarkable products to all of North America. Pat’s passion and ingenuity in building diamond tools created a world-class manufacturer.

In 2004 Pat and Judy had the opportunity to add equipment to the product line and purchased GDM from Al Schuman. In 2011 they moved the company from Goleta, California to Salt Lake City where they share the facility with Terra Diamond.

Pat genuinely cared about his employees on and off the clock.  He empowered us to contribute and improve the process. He demonstrated leadership and a dogged insistence on getting the product to our customers the way they need it, on time, never compromise our level of service, and to make a product we can all be proud of.

He is greatly missed. He had our backs when we needed it. His gift to his employees was imparting knowledge to perform and excel at their jobs.

We as the GDM team continue to carry forward his legacy of vision, passion, and ingenuity.
